Yay!

I just paid my last month of rent for this dreadful apartment and I've never been more relieved! I am so ready to get out of debt and get a house and just get back on track period. I feel we have a bright future ahead of us. Hopefully things will start to look up soon... :)

Baby Shoes...

Are just so darn cute:

Finally!

I never thought this day would come, but Kingsley's pretty much sleeping through the night. We no longer have to get up and feed him. All week, so far, he's went to bed around 9 or 10 and woke up around 6 or 7. There's been a few times where he woke up in the night and he didn't really wake up...his eyes were still closed...he was just kind of making some whiney noises. So I just gave him his paci and he went right back to sleep!

Doctor

So both kiddos got to go to the doc today. Kingsley was there for his 6 month check up so he got some shots. Ouch! She checked out his new tooth and said everything looked good and she said he has another one that'll probably be coming in any day now as well and that the rash on his face is in fact a drooling rash because of his teething. He's three inches over the ninety-fifth percentile for his height and he's in the ninety-fifth percentile for his weight. Kennedy has a cold sore and an upper respitory infection, so she got loaded up on antibiotics and decongestants. Hopefully this will help knock this stupid cold out! Poor things is always sick!

The verdict is in...

It's a tooth!

Kinglsey cut his first tooth this weekend....bottom left. And now we only have about 20 or so more to go. :sigh:

My kitties need a home...

Some of you may know this and some of you may not, but Lindsey and I are moving in with his parents in August to get some financial help and save for a house. So… shout out to Beth and Dennis…Love you guys! Wouldn’t know what to do with out you! Just kidding…No, but really…you guys are awesome! You’ve been there for us every step of the way. You’ve supported us in all of our decision-making…bad and good. Seriously, you guys are amazing and we have utmost respect for you. We don’t know how we’re ever going to repay you! Anyway, so the point of my post is…we’re moving in with the rents and needless to say it’s going to be very crowded – 5 adults, 2 children, 1 cat, and 1 dog in a 3 bedroom house. And since it’s going to be so crowded and there’s already other animals currently living there we’re not going to be able to bring our 2 kitties, so I have to find a home for them. I don’t want to take them to a shelter because I can’t bear the thought of them being put to sleep and all the no-kill shelters around here are full and won’t take them. Castor is a male orange tabby and he’s 5 years old. He’s declawed and fixed. Litter box trained. He’s probably the sweetest thing you’ll ever meet. Chloe is my female Calico. She’s 7 years old. She’s fixed as well, but she is not declawed. I didn’t get her declawed b/c I never had a problem w/her scratching the furniture or anything…as long you have a one of those card board scratchy pads she’s VERY satisfied. Now of course, she’s a female so she’s a little bit skitzy…but she’s really sweet as well and she’s has the loudest purr you’ll ever hear! Please let me know if you’re interested or if you know someone who might be!

Elvis' 1st Sleep Over

So this past Friday Elvis had a little friend over for his 1st sleep over...Ava. She's about 8 months old and as cute as a button. They absolutely adored each other and swatted and licked and proded and pulled and slapped each other all night and all day! At one point Ava pulled Elvis' diaper off...it was so funny! And normally multiple crying babies would probably be very stressful, but both had their baths and they were in their pajamas and I was making their night time bottle and they were both laying in the living room floor and they just looked so cute laying there in the PJs...whining and crying. Here's some pics...Enjoy!

Charlie Brown

So Greg bought Kingsley this really cute Charlie Brown shirt a while back and ever since Kennedy's wanted to wear it b/c she absolutely LOVES Charlie Brown and Snoopy. So I finally let her wear it the other day and of course she looked so cute in it. The shirt is made to look as if your head is CB's head and so when I put it on her she asked, "What happened to his head?" Lol! It was so funny. She's totally at the Why, When, Where, Why, Who, Why, What, Why stage...! Anyway, here's a cute pic of her wearing it!

Hard work...

You know those little borders that everyone always puts in their kids room to make them all cutsy...well they may be cutsey, but they are a pain in the butt to put up. They look like they'd be simple and just go right on the wall. No, not the case...AT ALL. So for the past 2 days until 9 and 10 at night...me and a girlfriend of mine have been putting up borders in her little girls playroom. I guess it didn't help that her playroom was the size of my apartment. Anyway...here are some pics of the finished product and by the way...just an FYI if you ever decide to do this: be prepared to deal with HUGE amounts of disgusting, slimy glue that gets EVERYWHERE that resembles snot and other unmentionable bodily fluids. And make sure you have a scraper and an exacto knife b/c a DVD case and kitchen scissors aren't very helpful. But in the end all the hard work was worth it b/c it turned out reall cute!

PT

So it's finally official...Kennedy is potty trained! She's been wearing big girl panties for the past couple weeks and she hasn't even had an accident...yet. I don't even have to help her, in fact...she won't let me. She says, "No! You stay! I potty by myself!" I'm so proud! She's not even 3 yet! Well...she will be in 27 days, but that was my goal - potty trained before 3!
