New House

I know I haven't really posted in a while but life in the Bishop house been crazy. With Lindsey getting laid off we had to stop our build (womp womp) because we were afraid we wouldn't be able to afford it depending on his job situation but we still had to be out of our apartment because we had already given our notice. We decided to just rent a house until he figures out what he's going to do and we wanted to stay in the same neighborhood we were building in and just so happens we found the perfect house! It's not actually a rent house...the owner had an immediate job transfer to Abilene and turns out it's working out really well for he and his family there so they're building a house there and we're going to rent this house from them for a year and go from there. They weren't in a position to sell and we weren't in a position to buy but we're both hoping that will soon be the case! :) Until then, stay tuned... but it'll probably be while before I post again...between the lay off, paying double rents for months!, moving, and just life in general...like I said it's been crazy but it's slowly starting to all fall into place. Anyway, here's some pics of the house. We still have a lot to do... painting, curtains, yard work, etc.

Good Morning Ogle!

Kennedy had her 1st performance at school last Friday. They did a little rap... it was so cute. They had cool sunglasses on and jersey's and bling and they all had their hats on sideways. So cute & funny! She's on the bottom row, 4th from the right. It was for GMO (Good Morning Ogle). Each grade/class gets a chance to preform at the end of each month, first thing in the morning and do little recognitions and it was her class' turn. They're so stinking cute!

T-Mobile Closing Frisco Call Center

Unfortunately, it was inevitable and we knew it was going to happen sometime in the near future just not this soon but Lindsey got word yesterday that he is getting laid off.

"T-Mobile announced Thursday that they will close two Texas call centers while consolidating operations from 24 to 17 facilities by the end of June. 

The Texas call centers are in Frisco and Brownsville. The other five call centers are in Allentown, Pa.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Lenexa Kan.; Thornton, Colo. and Redmond, Ore.

The Dallas Business Journal said the Frisco call center will result in the loss of more than 600 jobs!

The seven closures will result in 1,900 terminations out of the 3,300 people employed at the seven call centers. The remaining 1,400 can apply for positions at the other 17 call centers with relocation assistance."

So we have about 90 days to find Lindsey a new job. If he decides to stick it out until the end, which will be June 22nd he will get severance but that's kind of a hard decision... do we wait for the severance or does he go ahead and start looking and take his first available option (if there is one and God help us that there will be b/c our house is ready and we just bought a new truck!)????

He said it was a very haunting and sad moment... they brought every single T-Mobile employee together and told them all at the same time and he said everyone was in total shock and that grown men were balling. So sad. :(
