1st Pumpkin Carving

So this Sunday was our 1st time to carve a pumpkin together as a family! It was really fun and exciting and the kids were totally interested and intrigued! It was so cute. I of course did all the gross scooping of the insides out and Daddy got to carve and here was the result:

CLEAN

I'm not going to get into my ultimate quest of religion (it's long and crazy), but a few months ago we visited my Moms church and fell in love! It's a young crowd and the people are great! The music is awesome and moving! I feel so comfortable there. Lindsey loves it and that's A LOT to say. And of course the kids love it! Anyway, so starting Novemeber 7th-21st everyone in our church is going clean! To find out more about what that means come visit w/us and you and you're family will recieve a thing of laundry detergent, lol! For real! To find out more about our church here's the website: http://www.clearpathchurch.com/ & here's the blog http://www.clearpathchurch.blogspot.com/. Hope to see y'all there! Oh, and don't eat breakfast if you come...we normally serve pastries & fruit & all kinds of goodies! Yummy!

Halloween Costume

So we finally picked out E's Halloween Costume. We originally wanted him to be a Garden Gnome. So freaking cute! We thought he could be the boy gnome and Kennedy could be the girl gnome.

But turns out we won't have Kennedy for Halloween and there's no way that E would keep that hat & beard on (saw your post Brandi...too cute)! Plus, E is obsessed with Skeletons so we found a really cute Skeleton costume that glows in the dark.So yeah, tried the costume on last night for the first time it was entirely too small and he hated it. He wouldn't even attempt to wear the hands or the mask. He immediately pulled everything off. And I couldn't even come close to snapping the costume in the back...his entire back was showing, lol. So the Skeleton is a no go as well. :(

Red Balloon Run & Relay

This weekend Lindsey ran his first 5K ever! It was the Red Balloon Run & Relay for the Children's Hospital. He and 3 of his friends did the relay. Their team (Team Bromania) got 4th out of 30 teams. Lindsey ran the 5K in exactly 30min, Chase ran it in 22, Justin ran it in 23, and Larry ran it in 27. So overall...they did awesome! I'm so proud! And it was so motivating to be out there! We're totally doing this again next year as a family! And here's a link to look at some of the other photos from the face: http://1037litefm.radio.com/2010/10/11/photos-red-balloon-run-relay/#photo-1.

Texas State Fair

Columbus... you suck! Yeah, that's right! You suck! I mean, really...we're the idiots that went to the Texas State Fair on Columbus Day. The day EVERYONE and their freaking Mother went! Who does that? Of course, we do. Because that's our luck. We had absolutely no idea what we were in for...no idea. I didn't even know it was Columbus Day. It was the only day I could get off during fair time so that's why we went. First, we sat in traffic for oh about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to find out every sinlge exit to the fair was closed because all the parking lots were already full and at this point it was around 10:30-11:00 am. We seriously parked in the very last parking lot/gate...whatever you want to call it in section UU! By the time we actually got into the fair the were lines out the door for everything: food, rides, games, drinks, restrooms, shows, etc. It was a 30min-1hr wait for everything and it wasn't even noon yet. It was literally shoulder to shoulder everywhere you went. You couldn't escape the crowd anywhere and here's us with our huge double stroller that's extremely hard to manuver. Seriously, it was a nightmare. I've never seen so many people in my life. We totally had to miss out on practically everything we wanted to do. No car show. No shopping. No dog show. No games. No petting zoo. No nothing. Fortunately we did manage to squeeze in a corny dog, a funnel cake, Kennedy got her face painted, we went to The Bird show, we went to the Backyard Circus (really cute), Kennedy and I both rode 2 rides together, and really... I think that's about it. Oh and we went to the Aquarium and paid $5 for a bunch of empty tanks. But overall the kids had fun and that's all that really mattered... And sorry there's not very many pictures; it was literally a mad house and we were just trying to keep up with each other and fit everything in and get the heck out of there; pictures were the last thing on our mind.
